While developing the rental platform, we encountered several real-world operational and technical hurdles that needed to be addressed:

  • Managing Real-Time Vehicle Availability: Bookings often occurred via phone or at physical branches, leading to mismatches with the online inventory and frustrating customer experiences.
  • Seasonal Pricing and High-Demand Periods: India’s tourism seasons caused booking surges. The platform required automated pricing adjustments based on time of year and vehicle category.
  • Validating Driver Information: The team needed to verify customers' Indian or international driver’s licenses—previously done manually—which was inefficient and prone to delays.
  • Manual Fleet Updates from Branches: Decentralized fleet management caused inconsistencies across locations, making it difficult to present unified, up-to-date information online.
